Public Health Resources for Novel Coronavirus

The City of Aliso Viejo is following the guidance and direction of the Orange County Health Care Agency, who is the lead agency on the coronavirus response for Orange County. Below is information provided by the OC Health Care Agency.

On February 25, 2020, the Orange County Board of Supervisors declared a local emergency and County Health Officer Dr. Nichole Quick declared a local health emergency as part of broader preparedness efforts related to novel coronavirus, or COVID-19. These actions will help ensure that the County of Orange’s ability to respond to a potential outbreak, should one occur, will remain flexible and can evolve as this rapidly changing situation does.

It’s important that you also understand what these actions do not mean.

#1 Orange County does not have a COVID-19 outbreak at this time.

#2 Health Care Agency is not recommending changes to routine, everyday activities.

#3 Health Care Agency is not recommending cancelling social outings or public events.

The OC Health Care Agency continues to actively monitor this rapidly evolving situation and is providing guidance, as it becomes available, to local residents, schools, businesses, hospitals and other community partners. For additional information, please refer to the dedicated HCA website or reach out to the Health Referral Line from Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m at 800-564-8448.

Please follow the HCA on Twitter and Facebook for the latest news as it breaks.
