By Mayor Mike Munzing
It’s amazing to think how much Aliso Viejo has changed since my wife Erin and I moved here 13 years ago – just a few years after Aliso Viejo became Orange County’s 34th city. Though a lot has changed, what has remained constant is the incredible people who call Aliso Viejo home.
Whether you’ve lived in Aliso Viejo for a long time or just moved here recently, our City is grateful you chose to be part of this community. 2020 is an exciting year full of possibilities. We are continuing to take a proactive approach to ensuring City coffers remain strong. We will continue to work to attract new businesses and new jobs; to foster the revitalization of Town Center; and nurture our City’s reputation as the hub for medical device companies. On the horizon, we look forward to the completion of the Aliso Viejo Ranch project, which will offer something for everyone in our community. I look forward to sharing updates on this project throughout the year.
My sincere hope for 2020 is that you will get to know your neighbors, seek out volunteer opportunities (we have many through the City), try a new class or free workshop and participate with us as we make important decisions for our community that will affect many generations to come. You can follow us via our eNewsletter and social media sites – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Nextdoor.
I am proud to serve as your Mayor once again and wish you all the best in 2020.
