Annual Slurry Seal
The City of Aliso Viejo maintains the quality of its roads and streets through a process called “slurry sealing.” Slurry seal is a mixture of fine aggregate and emulsified asphalt that serves as a preventative maintenance measure that extends the life of our neighborhood roads by sealing them from the harmful effects of water penetration, sun and some surface wear and tear from traffic.
The City will begin its annual slurry seal project mid-April 2019 throughout different areas of the community. The work is expected to be finished mid-May.
Glenwood Terrace Neighborhood Street Rehabilitation Project
Construction is scheduled to begin mid-April 2019 on a street rehabilitation project in the Glenwood Terrace Neighborhood. Work will include asphalt removal and replacement at major crack locations, asphalt milling along the curb line and installing a new asphalt surface. Some minor sidewalk repairs will also be completed.
Since the additional work is required, access to streets/driveways may be limited at times during construction hours. Please observe any construction information signs and temporary “No Parking” signs as they are posted. Residents will receive door hanger notices from the contractor before any work that may impact driveway access. Trash service should not be impacted by the work. The project is expected to be finished by the end of May. For more information, contact us at 949-425-2530 or email Public Works.
