Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels is for residents ages 60 and older who are living at home and unable to prepare their own meals or go out to eat, and have little or no assistance to obtain adequate meals.

Nutrition

Specifically created by our registered dietitian to meet the nutritional needs of older adults, each delivery consists of three meals: a hot, ready-to-eat meal, a cold meal to eat later in the day, and a breakfast meal for the following morning.

Cost

Age Well Senior Services has a suggested donation of $7.50 per day for the three meals, though no one who is eligible is turned away for inability to pay.

Hours of Operation

Volunteers deliver meals Monday through Friday between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. (We do not provide weekend or holiday meals.)

Congregate Meals

To complement Meals on Wheels and to facilitate socialization, Age Well Senior Services offers the Congregate Lunch program which serves hot, nutritious lunches to active older adults in South Orange County. Over 83,000 lunches are served every year at our senior center locations, where seniors enjoy their meals while dining with their friends.

Nutrition

As with Meals on Wheels, these lunches are generated by our registered dietitian to ensure they meet vital nutritional needs. A hot or cold nutritious meal is offered at each lunch.

Cost

A donation of $4.50 is requested, though no one who is eligible is turned away for inability to pay.

Hours of Operation

Lunches are served Monday through Friday at noon, at the senior centers listed. Aliso Viejo residents are served by either Sea Country Senior and Community Center in Laguna Niguel or Florence Sylvester Senior Center in Laguna Hills.
